My journalism career centered on visual art.
I wrote reviews, news and feature articles for the Saint Paul Pioneer Press for eight years, and contributed to publications including Utne Reader, City Pages and Landscape Architecture.
Landscape Design
Somehow, 20 years ago, I became a licensed landscape architect and worked for 15 years alongside engineers and ecologists. My best work involved alternative stormwater design and natural resources management.
